Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 22, 2026

1. Overview

Black Cab Unite (“we”, “us”, “our”) helps small businesses create, review and publish Facebook content. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. This page is maintained by the Black Cab Unite team to answer common privacy questions about the service.

2. What we collect

  • Account information: email address and authentication details provided when you sign up or sign in via Google.
  • Business information: business name, industry, services, brand voice, and any content preferences you enter while onboarding or using the app.
  • Content data: drafts, posts, captions, scheduling dates, approval status, and AI-generated content you create or edit in the app.
  • Facebook connection data: when you connect a Facebook Page, we receive and store a Page access token, Page ID and Page name so we can publish on your behalf. The token is encrypted at rest.
  • Usage and log data: standard server logs, error reports, and feature usage to keep the service secure and reliable.

3. How we use your data

  • To provide, operate and improve the Black Cab Unite service.
  • To generate content ideas and post drafts that match your business profile.
  • To publish scheduled posts to the Facebook Page you have connected.
  • To authenticate you, protect your account, and respond to support requests.
  • To analyse usage trends and fix bugs.

4. Facebook / Meta data

If you connect a Facebook Page, we use Meta’s APIs solely to authenticate your account, list the Pages you manage, and publish posts you have approved inside Black Cab Unite. We do not sell Facebook user data, use it for advertising, or combine it with data from other sources for unrelated purposes. You can disconnect your Page at any time from the Facebook Connection page.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted service providers needed to run the service (hosting, database, AI generation, error logging), and only under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations. We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Data retention

We keep your account and content data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or disconnect a Facebook Page, we remove or anonymise associated data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to keep it for legal or security reasons.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted Facebook tokens at rest, and access controls on our backend. No system is completely secure, so we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and keep your login details safe.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of the page. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
